Gilbert’s Liberty Market

libertymarketAcross the street from the popular Joe’s BBQ is Liberty Market. Open for breakfast, lunch, and diner Liberty Market serves sandwiches, pizza, a variety of salads, one style of burger (looked good), and a variety of desert items. Visit the Liberty Market site for a complete menu. I had the picnic sandwich and Annette had the picnic salad. We liked both but Annette thought there was too much dressing on her salad. Everything was reasonably priced with appropriate sized portions. Don’t expect to take anything home. Nor will you pay for it just to take it home and leave it in the fridge. I also endulge on a cranberry scone which was served with cream and rasberry jam. It was quite tasty. Liberty Market has a variety of seating areas indoors and out and also has a coffee bar. A good selection of wine and beer are available. There is also self-serve soda, tea, and coffee ($2). Sandwiches come with a cold side item. The offer things like pasta salad, green bean salad, and even sweet potato salad.

It’s a relaxing atmosphere great for a small gathering. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Dinner for two with water to drink was just under $18.00. Pretty fair if you ask me. Liberty Market also has free wifi so if you want to make a pit stop to check email, do some work out of the office, or need a change of scenery this is a great place. We will be back and I will add a review of additional food items that we end of trying.

We are hoping to convince them to start serving Dos Cabezas wine there.

Some spend your hard earned dollars and buy local!
